Green thoughts for Manipur

The environmental
health of the state is at very critical state. The public doesn't have idea of
ownership of the surrounding environment. The idea of environmentalism evolved
recently in the state. We as normal citizen should understand key environmental
issues that affect our health : air pollution (dust and smoke), water pollution
(dumping of &*% into rivers, wetlands) and many more. Lets not shy away
from reality. Lets face it and solve the problem rather blaming each other.
Media plays an important role in highlighting such issues. Being a sport loving
state, we organised week long sporting event during Yaoshang, likewise we can
involve youths in creating awareness, cleaning etc. We have many biological and
environmental graduates and postgraduates but don't we have any role to play
for the betterment of our state. We feel proud to say Mary Kom win this much of
golds in world class championships and we pray for her success like we do for
other athletes and sports-person of the state, but don't we any role to make
our state clean and green like any other beautiful places of the world. We want
to go to Europe, America , Australia but we don't want to make America
